Chaffee County Home Builders Association is proud to introduce our Featured Business, Bussing Construction, Inc..  We wanted to take this opportunity to introduce this family owned business that was established in Ohio in 1982 and owned by Tony and Laura Bussing.  They have over 25 years of experience in building custom homes in Ohio and Tennessee.  While moving to Salida, they literally and figuratively took their company in a new direction.  They are now committed to certifying 100% of their homes through EnergyStar and Built Green Colorado, both of which are highly supported by the National Home Builders Association as well as associations across the country. 

Bussing Construction is well versed in the green building practices that highlight the monetary benefits as well as the environmental and health benefits of utilizing green building materials and techniques.   It is their goal to be a leader in promoting environmentally sound homes and sustainable communities. 

They build homes for clients as if they are building a home for themselves. No corners cut, only the best materials and craftsmen are acceptable for any job.  Their first Chaffee County project was recently completed in Boothill Subdivision, a sustainable community bordering BLM on Methodist Mountain.  The house features Solar Electric, Solar Thermal, Passive Solar Design and natural, organic finishes.

They will be offering a free seminar on Green Building on February 21, 2009 from 1:00 – 3:00pm at Bongo Billy’s.  The seminar will culminate with a tour of their showcase Built Green Home.
